MiruSuite at IBC 2025 - Impressions from Amsterdam

In early September it was that time again: IBC 2025 in Amsterdam brought together the broadcast and streaming industry. We at MiruSuite were right in the middle of it: Four days full of innovation, inspiring conversations, and fresh ideas are behind us.

AI Everywhere

Unsurprisingly, Artificial Intelligence was one of the dominant themes at the trade show. From automatic live subtitling to media asset management with AI-powered search to tools that optimize entire workflows, one thing was clear: AI is no longer a gimmick, but the driving force for the next generation of production solutions.

vMix + OMT - a new standard is knocking

We were especially excited to hear about the new vMix release, which integrates the new OMT standard (Open Media Transport) into the popular software mixer.
OMT is open-source and based on network-based audio and video transmission - a real alternative and perhaps even competition for NDI®. For us, it’s clear: MiruSuite will support OMT in the future, so our users can keep full flexibility when choosing their infrastructure.

Beyond the product innovations, the trade show was above all a place for conversations and new connections. We met many exciting companies and are eager to see what integrations and partnerships will emerge in the coming months.

Conclusion

For us, IBC 2025 was a complete success. We left with plenty of new inspiration and are already looking forward to the next IBC. And the beautiful city of Amsterdam is always worth a visit, too!

Maybe we’ll even be back in 2026 with our own booth – who knows?
