A Recap of the "Lecture Recording Workshop" by AMH in Potsdam

At the annual “Lecture Recording Workshop” hosted by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Medieneinrichtungen an Hochschulen e.V. (AMH), representatives from German universities and colleges gather to exchange ideas on current developments and innovative approaches in the field of lecture recording. Over the course of two days, the event in Potsdam offered a diverse program of hands-on presentations - including talks from companies like Panasonic, Q-Sys, and Tracking Master. We were also on site and had the opportunity to present our solution “MiruSuite” both at our booth and in a dedicated talk.

Our Presentation and Participant Feedback

During our presentation, we introduced our automated solution that enables both instructor tracking and the automatic editing of lectures. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive: many attendees showed great interest and took the opportunity to speak with us directly. Our testing licenses were particularly in demand - and we’re happy to provide them to interested universities.

Flexibility and Performance of MiruSuite

In several live demos, we showcased the capabilities of MiruSuite.

In a university setting, our Lecture Mode is especially noteworthy. It allows for fully automated camera tracking of the instructor. When the system detects that a blackboard or whiteboard is being used, it automatically adjusts the camera framing — ensuring all content is clearly visible.

MiruSuite integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructures - whether on virtual machines in the university data center or on standard laptops. The solution supports a wide range of PTZ cameras, including models from Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Marshall, and BirdDog.

Beyond lecture recording, MiruSuite is also ideal for panel discussions, conferences, and other formats - all with minimal technical effort.
