MiruSuite is an advanced software for automating live video productions. It gives PTZ cameras from various manufacturers the ability to automatically and naturally track people (person tracking). By connecting a video switcher, MiruSuite can also make real-time editing decisions. For simpler production scenarios such as lectures or stage shows, it can switch between multiple cameras, requiring minimal human effort.

MiruSuite helps you automate your livestreaming productions. It’s particularly useful for teams that offer live production services or produce content themselves. Schools, universities, or events that need automated person tracking or other camera movements with minimal effort can also benefit, and often achieve a better final result.

You’ll need a decent computer (Windows/Mac) with at least 8 GB of RAM. The exact requirements depend on the application. While most computers can easily track a single camera, tracking multiple cameras may require a stronger CPU or a dedicated graphics card. However, you generally don’t need a GPU. The computer must be connected to the PTZ cameras via a local network. The video signal can be fed into the computer via a capture card or also via the local network (NDI®/MJPEG stream).

MiruSuite uses AI-based pose estimation to detect every person in the frame. You can select the person to be tracked either manually or automatically. MiruSuite then moves the camera to keep that person in the shot according to cinematographic rules and controls the zoom for a specific shot size. You get a dynamically moving camera without extra effort, so you can refocus on more important directing tasks.

MiruSuite delivers natural tracking behavior that predicts movement and reacts quickly, while still following cinematographic rules such as the rule of thirds. This ensures a smooth, professional tracking result that is closer to human control than other systems. It is also enhanced by flexible face recognition, enabling you to find the target person again at any time.

Currently, MiruSuite offers fully automated live video mixing for lectures or scenarios with a single onstage speaker. Each video feed is assigned a task: supported feeds include a wide shot, a speaker camera with automatic tracking, a presentation feed, or a PiP (picture in picture) view. These perspectives can be flexibly configured. We are working on extending the system for more scenarios, especially those involving multiple speakers.

Yes, that’s no problem! You can use either MiruSuite’s user interface or your own video mixer to issue commands, and MiruSuite will adapt. The software is meant to take repetitive tasks off your plate, but you always remain in control.

MiruSuite is compatible with a wide range of PTZ cameras from various manufacturers, including Panasonic, Canon, Sony, Marshall, BirdDog, and others.
